COURSE DESCRIPTION |
It is a 1-day classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches child care providers and others to respond and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. The course covers the Four Steps of Pediatric First Aid and modules in Pediatric First Aid, Child/Infant CPR AED, Adult CPR AED, and Asthma Care Training. |
PARTICIPANT PROFILE |
Designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory or other requirements. This can be offered to camp counselors, child care workers, coaches, foster care workers, others responsible for children including parents, grandparents, babysitters and guardians, teachers and youth group leaders. |
CERTIFICATION AND VALIDITY |
On successful completion of skills testing, the participants will receive the following:
- AHA Course Completion Card valid for two (2) years
- AHA CPR Verify Certificate
